Mobile Art by Zaha Hadid

Originally designed to travel, the pavilion designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid, Pritzker prize, needed to be reinstalled on its last stop, the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris.

A team from VIRY performed an inventory of the 60 containers required to package it. A temporary assembly was done to identify the structural components that had been damaged and replace them. The shell fastening systems and the joints were remanufactured.

The shell, moulded out of glass fibre reinforced polyester resin, were attached to the stretched canvas roofing.

The metal framework undelies the shape of the structure like a genuine skeleton.

SATELEC managed the installation of a complex electrical system in line with French quality and safety standards, as well as the ground and roof architectural lighting.
